In the Fall of 2015, in collaboration with our staff, students, and community, we developed a Profile of a Learner. One of the areas we recognized as a major factor affecting students academically and personally was in the area of developing and maintaining a healthy sense of self.
During the Spring of 2016, Dr. Brown created a task force to review our current practices and procedures under the umbrella of “Develop a Healthy Sense of Self” from the Profile of a Learner, specifically in the areas of social and emotional wellness, character education, and digital citizenship to ensure we are providing comprehensive support in these areas.
One of the areas the task force identified as a need was to redesign our website so parents and students have easy access to resources and information related to these topics.
Please visit the newly designed “Resource Stop” located in our Student and Parent link of the Alamo Heights website. We will be updating information, parent training sessions, as well as positing regular videos, to keep parents informed of our progress. For more information, check out the "Resource Stop" video.
