NSPRA's golden achievement award

District Webmaster, Tricia CoreyAlamo Heights ISD earned the 2012 Golden Achievement Award from the National School Public Relations Association for the planning, research, design and implementation of the district and campus websites; otherwise known as the Web Forward Initiative.

The district earned the recognition for outstanding achievement in public relations, based on the following criteria: 1) analysis of the need; 2) planning to meet the need; 3) execution and communication of the program; and 4) formal evaluation.

Using this criteria to redesign and build six new websites, the district spent approximately 2 1/2 years to complete the process. From beginning research to implementation and finally to evaluation, the district has worked to ensure that the site meets the needs of entire community. Alamo Heights was only one of six school districts in Texas to earn this national honor.
